Bring class politics into Labour’s internal democracy
“They will beat their swords into plows and their spears into pruning knives. Nation will not take up the sword against nation, and they will never again train for war.” Isiah 2:4
We are asking the Labour Party to prioritise class over culture and identity politics. We want Labour to focus on the party’s founding purpose as a party by and for working class people. To do so must include bringing working class people into the party’s executive and as political candidates.
The Labour Party has an increasingly poor record in elevating people in traditional working class and keyworker professions within its internal democracy.
Restoration is not a Labour faction. We aim to make a place for working class professionals inside a pluralistic democracy. We believe in the dignity of labour.
We want to ask for Labour’s internal factions to endorse and make way for candidates based on their life experience and professional background.
